Brooklands FM is a community radio station with music from the last 40 years, local news, features, sport and advertising for local firms. Behind the station is a small team of professionals with backgrounds in radio and other media, the same people who brought you Brooklands FM in 2007. To see what we achieved, watch our YouTube video HERE.

Exciting venture

Alan Timbrell, who is heading the station, says: 'When we're back with a full-time community licence we'll be heard in Addlestone, Brooklands, Byfleet, Chertsey, Shepperton, Walton and Weybridge. It's an exciting venture because we're a radio station aimed just at our local area.

'Many people from local organisations and voluntary groups or just with something interesting to talk about are interviewed on-air every day and local people present their own programmes for the local community. Local businesses are able to target radio advertising directly at potential customers in their catchment area at affordable rates.'
